Speech and language therapy for Russian speaking children
|
Private LessonsThe first
visit will involve a full assessment including a consultation.
At the end of the assessment a recommendation on the particular
needs for the child will be given. Following
the assessment an individual plan will be created identifying
the length and number of sessions to address the needs. This will
involve a specified number of weekly one-to-one sessions which
will last between 45 and 60 minutes, depending upon the age and
particular needs of each child . At the end
of each session the child will be given homework and if
necessary this will be discussed with the parents. The length
of course will depend on a particular child's needs , the rate
of progress and the homework approach.
After
completing a course, it is beneficial to provide a short
break to allow a child time to consolidate what they have
learned and to use the new skills in their everyday life .
A review
session will be offered to check on progress and to identify any
remaining speech and language needs. |
